Sara called Dr. Energy Saver of NEPA because after 3 renovations her home was still difficult to heat and cool. The installed new windows, a new kitchen and even a new roof. All this time they were living in a house that was leaky like "Swiss cheese." During the inspection Jason and Mike showed Sara all the area's that were actually the cause of the problem. The cure included air sealing with our exclusive ZYP foam insulation, blowing our TruSoft Cellulose insulation and installing our patented David Lewis Hatch cover of the attic stairs in the attic. We also dense packed a cantilevered floor section and one wall section. The family felt there was a noticeable difference after the first day. Laura contacted Dr. Energy Saver of NEPA to help solve her cold bathroom problem and reduce her high heating bills. After a thorough home energy assessment we found large voids in the insulation and exterior sheathing of the house. This house was only 10 years old and built very well by one of the area's top home builders. However, things still get overlooked. Our team got to work air sealing and insulating the attic with our TruSoft Cellulose insulation. We then removed a small section of drywall in the ceiling to access the second floor wall area behind a roof line that was the cause of a very cold bathroom and a few frozen pipes over the years. After the first day, Laura had already turned the thermostat down 3 degrees! We received a phone call from a contractor who was having difficulty meeting the required insulation value for a remodeling project they were on. The walls were 2x4 construction and the township was requiring him to meet R-19. In order to do this they only had one option and that was closed cell polyurethane insulation. We installed 3 inches of our Lapolla Foam Lock 2000 spray insulation to not only meet, but to exceed the code requirements while creating an air seal and adding a vapor barrier, The use of spray insulation will make this room more comfortable all year long and much quieter than any other room in the house. Everyone wins!

We recently received a call to inspect a crawlspace in Hellertown, Pa. The area was mostly dry but still suffered from musty odors, visible mold growth and high energy bills. We removed the existing fiberglass insulation that had been damaged by rodents as well as the rigid foam board insulation attached to the foundation walls that was not properly sealed. We installed the CleanSpace system with 20 mil vapor barrier, drainage matting, 2" of closed cell spray insulation and a steel insulated crawlspace door. We conditioned the space with the one and only, SaniDry Sedona dehumidification system. Now the home is healthier, cleaner and far more energy efficient.

This customer contacted us because the basement in their home was getting wet every time it rained. They had an old sump pump and even some interior drains that were not working anymore. In fact, the drains were packed full of sediment and debris from over 50 years of use and abuse. The homeowner knew they wanted to keep the basement dry ALL the time so there a properly sized sump and battery back-up was the way to go. We also knew we had to replace the existing drains with a new drain pipes that would not clog. After a week of jack-hammering, digging and plumbing new pipe the basement is now nice and dry. We installed our SuperSump with Zoeller 1/2 hp pump and brand new 4" flexible interior drain pipe with sediment barrier to keep the pipe clear for the life of the home. We also installed our patented UltraSump IV battery backup system with an auxiliary pump to keep the basement dry even when the power goes out!
